  • Laboratory setup "Dynamic vibration damper"

The setup contains a base and two series-connected oscillatory links. Each oscillatory link is a metal elastic strip with a mass fixed to it, so that the dimensions and masses of the two links differ significantly, and the oscillation frequencies are close. The first link near the base is affected by a disturbing force created by an electric motor and transmitted through a spring. The second oscillatory link is fixed to the mass of the first, is removable and adjustable in length, which allows you to adjust the frequency of its natural oscillations.

Oscillations of both masses are recorded by inertial sensors.

An electronic module with an STM32 microcontroller and power electronics provides control of the engine speed, digitalization of sensor readings and data exchange with an external computer via a USB interface.

The setup can be used to study resonance and dynamic damping of oscillations. The problems of identifying mass-inertial and electromechanical parameters of the engine, drive operation in direct control mode and using feedback, the effect of feedback coefficients on the nature of transient processes are studied.


The installation is supplied with a programmed controller, a description of the protocol for interaction between an external computer and the controller, and a demonstration program that visualizes dynamic processes that occur at different frequency ratios of the engine and oscillatory links.
